Yet, many only are experts on their subject, can't balance a checkbook, start how to get a girl threads, and are in serious debt, suffer from the sin of hubris, have no street smarts, and will be divorced...I see these people a lot from UMBC, Johns Hopkins, U of MD, Georgetown, American University...
Right on...
College does not teach life skills.
You can have wall that's decorated with many degrees and awards and still can be an utter failure at life.
I work with such a person.
She is a woman in her early 40s with a Pharm D. She has been a pharmacist (read: 6 figure income) for 12-13 years. I'll highlight some of her complete failures...
Still has $90,000 in student loans
"floats" checks (writes a check without enough money to cover the check but hopes by the time the check arrives the money will be deposited into her account) to her utilities, credit cards, ...etc.
Overpaid by $500 for a brand new apple laptop that I was going to sell her because she didn't have the cash ...so she used a credit card instead
Has terrible credit ...etc, etc list goes on
