Here how I do it.
Buy a steak from Walmart or Family Dollar - Well done on the grill. I use a soy sauce and olive oil marinade
Decent Steakhouse - Medium Rare
High Quality Japanese Steakhouse (Kobe Beef) - Definitely Rare
And NO FUCKING STEAK SAUCE. I took a guy out to dinner in SC to a really expensive joint and the guy ask for it well done with some Heinz 57 sauce!!! That shit pissed me the fuck off and I was quite embarrassed....a 60 dollar steak ruined by completing burning it to hell and coating it with some cheap ass tomato sauce.... its an insult to cooks if you ask for steak sauce..especially cheap shit. Bitch almost didn't get any dick that night for that travesty.....

First off I want to clarify that I don't put Heinz 57 on my steak. I do want to say however that fuck the chef if he does not like what I want to put on my steak, and fuck anyone else for that matter. Its my steak, I will eat it however the fuck I want.
The chef is being paid to cook food, not worry about whether his feelings may be hurt.
