why did he give up the pro card??
From what he told me, it was because he felt like his journey would not be complete not winning the World championships , South East Asia Games and if there is any, the Asian Games...all of which are big deals in Asia...being a pro don't mean squat here as there are no major sponsors so, basically you'd have to go out and work like everyone else to make ends meet since the demands of a pro is way more expensive than being an amateur. Amateurs here get at least some medical free at local sports council, flight and accommodation paid for and some cash incentives if you bring back a medal for the country. But all in all...winning these titles mean more to us in Asia
