I'm surprised dude wasn't already in prison for life, given his track record.

My guess is most of the witnesses and victims are in the same social class as him, and aren't willing to talk as much to cops. Also, if he's 26, most of his crimes were committed in the last 10-15 years. We've been on a soft on crime phase for the last few years, so I bet a lot of those charges were dropped, bundled with other things, etc....

Still 230? Sheesh.
