It appears that animals are not immune from the dreaded heme-iron.

I wonder how animals would do on a steady diet of carrots, just like Johnny Falcon.

Why cook the thighs?  No need to do that.

I would suggest giving them some raw drumsticks or Turkey necks.... the connective tissue is good for their teeth & innards.  Haven't fed my dogs prepared dog food in a while.  Nothing but organ meats, whole fish, veggies, and eggs
One of them is extremely picky and she only likes them cooked.

well of course i wouldnt want that to happen a vulture or and owl picked up one of my ducks out of the pen and killed it the last week it saddend me to all ends

if they are healthy then keep doing what you do

im just saying all protien/amino acids can be found by combining plant foods , same with fat give them cheese, oils, ect
Wouldnt be a Vulture. A Vulture's feet are too weak to grasp, and their talons are short and stumpy. Their feet/talons are made for walking. Their beaks are not heavily hooked like a bird of prey. This is why they feed on carrion/rotting flesh. They'd wait for that duck to die. So, it might have been a hawk or an owl, if it was a bird at all.

They'd just sit around and wait for the duck to die, then eat.
Maybe on rare occasion would they gang up and peck at something, but a live hearth duck can drive them away, and fly...ducks are faster flyers than vultures. Vultures need space, and are ungainly.
Something else could have gotten to the duck.

Crows are bad around here and they are evil as in the movie and come around when death is near.

This.  Vultures are some of my favorite birds and we have a ton of them.  They are opportunists and won`t waste their time to kill anything, especially since they can find food at incredibly long distance with their sense of smell and keen eyes from the high flight.  They wouldn`t bother a duck at all.

Now a Hawk would eat Johnny`s duck.  I took some pictures of a Cooper`s Hawk not too long ago looking for other birds to eat.  The Blue Jays sounded the alarm and warned everything in a distance and then ganged up to chase the Hawk away.
