i gave hendricks octagon control cause he clearly controlled the center of the octagon up until rd 4 that is, he did have the takedowns also but he didnt do NOTHING with them so i cant give him EFFECTIVE GRAPPLING cause he never acheived the mount position. i think lawler wasnt himself though and seemed gun shy just because he knew hendricks got awesome takedowns,if u look at robbys last fight against mat brown robby was swinging harder and with alot more power. if hendricks would of did something with those takedowns then yes i think it would of made a difference, hendricks did look good in the striking in rds 2 and 3 though, but his FLICK OUT SLAP right jab is pretty much what he was catching robby with and not his signature STRAIGHT LEFT HAND that does the dirty work for him.robby did look like he was trying to press the fight though and i gave him the aggressivness edge, only thing hendricks did as far as having effective strikes was the leg kicks he caught robby with, other than that he really didnt hurt robby at all in the fight. to be honest i wasnt sure how the judges where going to see this one, after all it is the UFC and ive seen some crazy ass decisions in my day.plus the way hendricks held robby up against the fence and did not do much wasnt looking good in the judges eyes especially when the crowd starts to boo, believe it or not that does influence some judges.hendricks did take him down once or twice from the fence but robby was right back up so that didnt count for much, alot of people forget that some judges dont really score takedowns to much unless a fighter acheives side control or gets full mount,or he can stay in half guard but do alot of damage, that really helps to score points in the judges eyes. as DANA always says try not to leave it in the judges hands, johnny should of learned that lesson from the GSP fight and tried harder to finish robby
