No one else has ever ran within 0.11 seconds (an eternity in sprinting) of his record.  I think it will stand for quite a while.

Yep his record is 9.58

His team mate yohan Blake is a beast also. By far better than gatlin also

Remember when Levrone said he could run 4.2s 40y?

At least he did line up against some sprinter. Don't remember his time though.

Not saying it was that close, but if I remember correctly he put up a respectable time. I thought he was around the 4.6 range or something.

Yeah he's finished unfortunately.

Seems he can't go sub-10 even anymore.

Bolt's 200 m record (19.19 I think) will probably also be around for a long while.  He smashed Michael Johnson's record which was an amazing record on its own.

Great sport, sprinting.

I think Bolt is a spent force as well, he really struggled yesterday, maybe hes injured.
He didnt look comfortable, seemed to be over trying if thats possible.
Will struggle at the next Olympics if he still around.

Bolt has probably a year or two left in him. Rio 2016 will probably be his last major competition.
Shame to hear about Blake. Dude was a legit beast a few years back.

And the sprinter only went like 1/2 to 3/4 speed. Imagine how delusional Levrone must have been around people.

Amazing at how Ben Johnson's run seemed inhuman and even the 2nd place guy today is beating his time.

Anyone know the meaning of Gatlin's front license plate.  It said "Juice" on it when I saw it.

If only Bolt would have leaned forward at the finish for his world record, it wouldn't have been beaten for decades then.

He has had a serious pelvic injury and ran 3 100m races before worlds hitting 10.12 before london in july when he did 9.87 in shit conditions. Im a cynical fuck but he has broken records since he was a kid. 15 world junior champ (imagine you at 15 v 18 year old football players), ran under 20s in 200m at 17... beijing 21 he runs 9.69 taking piss 9.58 a year later pushing it. He is one of few i believe could just be a legit freak.

Thing is when he goes and times go back to 9.8s who will care? It is a sport measured by milliseconds not by contest. Any reference to a winning 9.8x will be followed by "but bolt ran"....

People say they want clean sports. I want someone to run sub 9s leave two trails of fire and go back to 1955. If they drugged.... fuck it. Good tv.

9.58 is crazy.  Unbelievable time.

I have posted this before but if you exclude everyone who's been suspended for PED then Bolt is the only guy since 1988 to run faster than Ben Johnson's 9.79.

Not saying Bolt is "clean" but he's yet to be caught.

Gatlin can always get into bodybuilding when he retires from sprinting, he has the lying about drugs thing down to an art!
