If you were to fight MMA at your weight, you'd be in the same class as your "athlete" Kongo who's 6'4".

Maybe you're in fat power lifter shape, but, you're 50lbs above functional athlete shape.

I'm not an MMA fighter and my BF last tested via hydrostatic was about 14.7%. I train heavy, always have. My cardio consists of prowler sprints, strongman medleys/circuits, battle ropes and 45 miles (give or take) a week on a beach cruiser and speed and agility work on the weekends as well as running bleachers. I'm 52, I'll be 53 in August. I have NO desire to look even remotely like an ambercrombe model or "ZZYZZ" or whatever the fuck his name is. My BP is 130-40/70 depending on how stressful my day is.

She has an incredible constitution - that ability to withstands negative inputs to the body.

Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue did enough drugs to kill a horse, and he's 50+ and healthy today.
People OD on 1/10 that kinda dose daily.

Ronnie Coleman has done more "everything" than all of getbig combined...
but Chris Cook coudln't do it for more than a year.  It's all constitution.

This woman is built to be able to take demands of being short and 300 pounds.  That'd kill many people by age 35.
She's got a good constitution.

I am sure you are fitter than most on here and I also prefer being a bit heavier instead of being so I can completely relate to what you say there and you're obviously
not one of those delusional perma-bulkers but actually a very muscular guy.

The one thing though that always bothered me very much was my facial looks.. I mean I am certainly not overly vain, I don't spend a lot of time on my looks but still
we all want to look good somehow and the bloated face does ruin a lot in my opinion.

In your case it's not as bad because as I said before you have a masculine face (no homo) so maybe you are still satisfied but I just look horrible with a bloated face, like a completely different person.

I'll attach some extreme examples to make my point clear...

Does it not bother you?

By the way.. believe it or not but even in the bloated pictures I was NOT fat, you could still see some of my abs, I guess I was around 15% bf at that time... and close to setting a new national benchpress record in the teen division (never happened in the end but I was CLOSE  :o ;D) while still being able to run 10km in a reasonable time.

It's a matter of genetics. Let me explain. I have a 45 year old women that started with me on Monday. She's 5'2 and weighed in at 329lbs. She understands where she's at fitness wise and knows she needs to drop around 200lbs. Lots of things behind this story. Depression, loss of family, etc. She sold her house in LA, quit her job and moved to the beach. She was kind of a big wig in the entertainment industry working for Disney but after 22 years the stress got her. But here's the thing. When someone comes to us that large we (to legally cover our asses) require a doctors release. Since she got regular check ups and blood work. EVERYTHING came back perfect. From her BP to her Lipids. Oh, BTW, up until last week she was a two pack a day smoker.

There are thousands of cases of people getting their blood work done and it comes back perfect only to go back 6 months to a year later and their a total mess...Also doctors don't give many people the exact info because most people won't know what it meant anyways...People get their blood pressure done once a year and if it isn't high that one time, they think they don't have high blood pressure...Which isn't always the case. Blood pressure changes sometimes dramatically through out the day...Also, many people lie about what their doctors tells them...

I agree. I like being leaner but I hate sacrificing strength. But really don't think I'll be sacrificing much. I've dropped 13lbs but my weights are the same.

I agree and we've talked at length about this. If she doesn't start dropping weight something's going to give.

I agree.

Being over weight is a risk factor in itself. A heart has to work harder to supply that extra weight with blood yet the heart muscle isn't in shape to accomplish that task over time. We all know the big fat guy who never exercised, drinks like a fish and smokes with excellent blood work.  I know someone who is 100lbs over weight with under 200 cholesterol. A genetic factor involving the liver causes many with high cholesterol despite exercise and excellent diet to make it but I digress.  Obviously good genetics are an important factor in health.

If you have ever been around really old people there are just about zero obese people who are 75 and over.
