again- I don't want to lose sight of the original question----why?
why did he become popular to begin with?
-all his advice isn't ground breaking and is just basic "copy/paste" stuff that anyone can google
-he ISN'T charismatic at all
-he looks like shit so he can't use the "Do what I do and you'll look like me" gimmick that a "body guy" could do
-his production is absolute shit
HOW AND WHY did this nerd make money giving advice on fitness?
I blame the gullible teenagers who make up the bb.com forums because bless there hearts they are teenagers and all teenagers are guilble in this game
and it's kinda like how all of us over the age of 35 fell for the David Dearth (sp) "Mega Mass 5000" before and after ads in the old weider mags
IMO when he first started up he was a "breath of fresh air." He didn't peddle product, he cited studies, he claimed to have worked with athletes and help them pass drug tests, and he doesn't look like the typical youtube fitness douchebag (kinobody, chris jones, christian guzman, etc...). That's what gave him credibility, I think. But over time people picked up on his bullshit and started calling him out on it. Now he's just a joke. He makes videos, people rip on him in the comments and dislike his videos. But because he's established such a large fan base, he's still getting tons of views, even if people who watch it (myself included) are only there for the comedic/troll value.
