It's interesting how people compartmentalize their beliefs.
If someone told you they had a treatment for X illness, but its never been tested by RCT's, you wouldn't believe the treatment to work, nor would you accept the treatment. Nor should you, as there is no demonstrable evidence that the treatment works. Obviously, a randomized control clinical trial is needed in order to demonstrate that the treatment is effective.
Yet, people believe, with zero evidence, that supplements work, despite the lack of RCT's ever demonstrating their effectiveness. Basically, when it comes to the effectiveness of supplements, people throw out all logic.
