I was prescribed, and used, so many painkillers I lost track...everything from morphine to dilaudid to oxycontin, oxycodone, hydrocodone, percocet, and everything in between. However, I should note that I can NOT use NSAIDS, so ibuprofen/motrin/etc were out of the question, which also led to a prolonged recovery. Because of that, it was strictly tylenol based painkillers.
Because of the heavy use, I was also undergoing suppositories and the like because everything inside shuts down. I was basically a pill head for 6 months, but strictly for pain and not for pleasure (never took anything recreationally before, during, or since. and even if i wanted to, the pain was so overwhelming 24/7 that i dont think i could've relaxed and tried to enjoy anything anyway).
It wasn't as difficult as I'd had thought to finally wean off of them as I was very much dependent on them, but the whole recovery process was so mentally and physically draining that I honestly don't remember the come down/tapering off. I was in a jungle 99% of the time between pain and the drugs that all I remember from the entire 6 months are bits and pieces because I was either crying or doped up lol.
