It remains to be seen whether his national emergency proclamation will result in billions of dollars for his wall or total failure due to lawsuits and congress not complying with his requests.

The money in the bill gives him months of wall building while the national emergency works it's way up to the Supreme Court.  If he wins at the Supreme Court he already has the money to finish what he started which will make his base happy and liberals heads will explode.  If he loses at the Supreme Court he can use the wall as an issue in the 2020 election.  I think he wins either way.  The democrats should have given him what he wanted and the issue would be taken off the board and they wouldn't have to go against it in 2020.

I don't know how anyone could have watched his recent SOTU objectively of giving him a fair chance, and not noticed a tremendous amount of growth as POTUS.  76% of America agreed with him, which means he did a helluva job.

When has any President ever admitted flaws or lies???  And again, if you watched his declaration the other morning he actually did say something to the affect of "look I'm newer to this and learning as I go"  I can't remember any POTUS ever saying anything remotely close to that.

I've never supported money going to other countries.  Personally I believe that US should cut off all foreign aid to EVERYONE.  Starting with that leeching Israel that does nothing but steal every bit of technology they can from us.

As far as the wall goes, it's nothing more than Trump's attempt at vanity.  He will never get on Mt Rushmore so this is a monument to himself.  Nothing more.  It isn't about stemming the flow of illegal immigrants.  It's been shown that most arrive legally and over stay their visa.  Living in South Florida, I know this for a fact. 

You can't say Dems want people to be poor when Repubs have the record of treating vets like shit, against health care, against education, against raising minimum  wage, and giving tax breaks to corps and wealthy.  It's proven the trickle down effect does not work.

I considered you on the left, because the posts I've read/interacted/been in the same thread with you, lead me to that assumption.  Much like most people on here likely have the assumption that I'm a Republican.  I am not.  I am a registered independent like you.  So, I apologize for saying implying you're a Democrat, but it seems you either lean quite a bit left, or you just flat out hate Trump.  If it's the latter, or both...I just think there's not much objectivity when it comes to what's happening, and how people like that vote.

Trump has talked about trade and immigration for years.  Trade goes back to the 80's.  Oprah, MSM, and many others now bashing him actually questioned, suggested, or encouraged him for years about running for POTUS.  I'm being redundant to what I've posted on the AOC thread on G&O, so I'll leave it at that.  My point is that the things he campaigned on, and either has done/wants to do while POTUS. are things he's said were issues for many years.  After bitching about them for so long, being asked by Oprah and MSM if he'd run ever, and being in his later years and already wealthy...the guy just finally said "fuck it.  I'm in"  Since he's "in", he wants to do what he's been bitching about for so many years.  I don't think there's much more to it than that.  And if him having an agenda or wanting a legacy is what's eating at you, what do you think we'd have if the Clinton's got in office again?  We would be in a world war by now or next year b4 her term was up......I 100% believe that.

VA changes, getting people's lost one's....our soldiers remains back from NK, vets being able to bypass waits/turndowns at VA clinics/hosps, and go to any dr. they want and U.S. pays for it?  Why didn't Bush, Clinton, Bush II, and Barry do any of that?  Why are people not giving him credit for any of the good things he's done and wanting to do?

I was never a fan of Obuma, but I would never in a million years send my President a Tweet (if I ever get Twitter) degrading him, mocking him, expressing hate, wishing harm/injury/death, or tell him "FUCK YOU!" as so many people have done.  We've lost our fucking mind as a country, and it didn't just happen because of Trump.  It was repressed trough watching Obama weaken our nation and our society.

I can honestly say that for pretty much every important issue I sit on the fence and look at what both sides have to say, and then do a little digging on my own.  I try to stick to as much data, science, fact stuff type sites as I can and then I make up my mind on what I've seen, heard, and learned.  I don't think the majority on EITHER side can honestly say that they do that.  That's sad to me, especially now with this Democratic(made up) Socialism talk going on.  There's a fucking shitload at stake in 2020, and if we go the way Dems want....there'll be no choice for "U.S." to make it change back I fear.

As for Israel other than, the Jewish people own CA and NY, film, music, banking, and God only knows what else......fat chance we'll ever stop supporting them.  It's to the point where we common folks, just have to be like "nothing to see here people....carry on"
