This is true. No idea about other places so maybe I am spoiled. Grew up literally 10-15 minutes away from Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. and immediate family still all live there. Pretty pristine areas.
Never been there, but my aunt used to live in iron mountain on a hilltop with a lake view....it was amazing. She sucks, but she's my mom's only sister so we had to visit from time to time. The drive there was beautiful.
So many places up north are incredible. The places I listed, plus door county, ephraim, apostle isles....so many places I went as a kid that I don't even remember the name of. Wildlife preservation, conservation, appreciation, and proper management are all just a part of life there. As are big trucks, fishing boats, and guns!
And guess what lefties.....you'll have a really hard time finding people that buy into your global warming/climate change bullshit in these places. The places where climate change is a huge issue for people are overpopulated, pollution filled (of multiple types), corrupt, and don't know how to manage their city let alone wildlife areas.
