Spend a day around somebody who is under 30....an "average" person. That's all you need to verify.
A few days ago i was depositing some $20 bills at an ATM in a Safeway grocery store. It kept rejecting one of the bills. I went to the customer service desk and asked the clerk if he could check the $20 bill to make sure it wasn't fake. He ran the pen across it and told me it was good it was just a little tattered and exchanged a new bill so I could deposit it. I then joked that I don't want to try to pass a fake $20 these days considering what happened to George Floyd. He just kind of looked at me in a confused manner and said, "What?" I replied, "You know, George Floyd. The guy who got killed by the police who pinned him and choked him to death with a knee setting off riots, mayhem, and anarchy across the country. It's the worse ever. It's like the whole country is going down the toilet.
He was completely unaware of all this. He just said that he didn't really follow the news. I asked him how old he was and was he going to school. He told me he was twenty years old and a sophomore at the University of Hawaii.
Amazing. Just fucking amazing.
