Adesanya needed somebody to humble him. Now he can go back to middleweight and fight guys who can't wrestle him.

The way Jan took him down seemed so easy... and this big mouth thought he can handle Jon Jones lol

Islam Makachev looked dominant. Great judo trips and ground game. We need to see him against top guys. A Mcgregor/islam fight will generate alot of interest maybe Dana will think about it.
Yan fucked up and need a rematch.. will kill sterling in the rematch for sure

stirling should have been awarded an academy award instead of the belt, no doubt he was hurt and it was a deliberate foul, but Yan had already broken him, he wanted out and the foul gave him the opportunity to get out of there. can't see the rematch being any different.

He is talking about the fight being close while he was tired asf and couldn't do anything. He knows deep inside that he was going to lose without that illegal knee

Dana should make the rematch mandatory. He fights Petr or the belt go vacant.

Dana looks like shit. His fat head was beat red like his blood pressure is off the hook.

Blachowicz did a very good job. He stuck to his game plan, didn't get tricked by Adesanya's fancy footwork, landed just as many strikes and utilized his wrestling/ground work. He deserved the win. It just wasn't a very exciting fight as we've come to expect from Adesanya's matches.

Adesanya did fine, but he just didn't move as fast, smooth or decisive as he typically does. Which makes sense, as Jan could have knocked him out cold if Adesanya blundered.

This fight literally felt like a better version of "Adesanya vs Romero". The fight had consistent exchanges in every round where both fighters would connect and score points. I felt the scoring was likely pretty even down the middle with the exception of Jan's takedowns certainly scoring him extra points during rounds 4 + 5.

I agree with the results. No one was robbed and Adesanya knows that to beat any champ, it has to be clear and decisive, leaving little doubt regarding your legitimacy as champ. Clearly, Adesanya needs to stick to middleweight where he is completely dominant and with no clear or threatening opponent in sight.

So much for a fight against Jon Jones. Nonetheless, I'll still watch all of Adesanya's fights. He is one of the few stars left in the UFC.

Of course not, I just pissed into a plastic water bottle out of sheer principle and respect for these modern day gladiators.

It looked like Yan was on his way to finishing Aljo. That being said, I have no issue with a judge giving Aljo 2 rounds which means that if he could have continued, he wasn't completely out of the fight. But, I think Yan would have finished him in the 5th or won on points.

As for a rematch? I think it's silly to write Aljo off. He was too amped up by the moment yet still was mathematically in the fight.  He should be able to learn from this and train to fight more relaxed and pace himself.

Yan will be the favorite but I'm putting money on Aljo in the rematch.
