I was reading an article yesterday about racism. The article made sense. The main point, in 24 generations, their will be only 1 dominate race. Just what that race is and how he came up with 24 generations is all explained. Think about it for a sec. Even if you hid in a closet for 400 years. When you came out their would be only 1 race and no racism. That day I hope to look down upon from above. It was in print and I'll try to find it on line and past it.

Not to shit in your Wheaties, but 24 generations is 600-700 yrs. from now.

IMO nobody has a clue what things will be like then. You think people were sitting around in the 1300's had any concept of what life would be like today?

Maybe this guy has a point, but it's just as likely that huge changes in the way we live will preclude his theory from taking place.

Sounds reasonable to me. The trickle down effect of slavery and discrimination for the vast majority of mankind affects the race relations today. I would assume in 400 odd years there will have been so much race mixing that there will be very few 'pure' people of any race.

You got me on the math bro, but the dominating gene theory where the stronger ones will over ride the weaker ones make perfect sense. 100 years ago 5'6" would be considered tall. Now it's considered short and that's only 1 trait. Remember it's only a theory. Obviously no one has absolute proof, but the homogenizing of the races where eventually we're all the same makes sense to me. Do you really think that the human race will be the same in 700 years as it is now?

Unbelievably stupid.
Even if white dominate this planet,the climates , foods and every other circumstance are different and that create numerous race again. Plus numerous races means a survival wisdom. Many genetic means there are more possibility to make survivors. It happen to all creature on earth.
For example,1 kind of potato die with contagious disease and other kind of potato survive. Thats called evolution.
Sorry this is not my opinion. But, this is biological common sense.

Well you would have to believe that the people that are running the world don't believe in a superior race...Which isn't the case...Do you know how many diff/races are living in Mt. Weather?...When all out nuclear distruction happens, the powers in charge will have their superior race...Every major country has a Mt. Weather...We are getting close to it...The diff/is the americas have the money and the technology...

Racism will be a thing of the past, just not the way you may think it will happen...

Will there even be a freakin atmosphere in 600-700 years? The way I see it, at the rate we're going we'll all be either living under-ground, in the ocean , or on another planet, and we'll all look like Smeedel (sp)

Not to mention the fact that There are about 2 Billion Chinese (which accounts for a small fraction of Asians, well more than Europeans then You have a whole continent of Africans. It is vitually impossible for everybody to mix and be on race...assuming the human race will still exist and does not wipe itself out.

Even if racism is gone, it will be replaced by other stuff. Religion, political ideas, sexual preferences, wealth, cultural differences, gender, nationality ...
Some people will always hate others that aren't exactly like themself. Wherever you go, there will always be groups of people that dislike each other. Sometimes out of a misplaced superiority complex (i'm superior, and people like me must be too), most of the time out of fear.

E.g. in Eastern Europe: Slavs vs gypsies. Europe: whites vs muslims. America: whites - blacks. Iraq: Shiites - Sunnis. Darfur: Arabs - blacks. India: muslims - hindoes. Congo/Rwanda: hutu - tutsi.

It's not the differences that are the problem, rather the people that can't deal with them and always feel threatened. Personally i'm all for mixing. I'm white and generally more attracted to non-white girls so there's a good chance i'll chip in my contribution.

Personally i give the human race another 100 years MAX to live as we know it.
Pretty soon genetically engineered humans will also come onto the scene. Maybe they'll feel superior as well...

Impossible. We already have millions of interracial people and will have millions more in the future. For example, one of my friends is half black/half Korean. Another is a fair skinned, green eyed Jamaican. My secretary is half white/half Filipina. I have good friend who is half German/half Palestinian who is married to a guy who is half black/half Palauan (and they have two kids). I have another good friend who is Chinese. She married a guy who is Hawaiian/Chinese/white. They just had a baby. This is the future of America IMO.

There wont be one race in 24 generations.. That's like a hippie's dream come true.

If people have any respect for themselves, their race and culture, then this will never come to be true. Instead of having foolish hippy fantasies like these, why not learn to respect each other despite differences in apperance and opinions?

One's respect for their race and/or culture need not manifest itelf in racism. you speak as if racism is/was a natural occurance. It is not and never has been been. Racism was introduced into society and it took many years of it being nurtured both through fear & ignorance for it to catch on. As an intitution that has lasted so many centuries, I doubt it and the legacy it has left is possible to wipe off the face of the earth overnight, however, it can be done.

And as far as foolish hippie fantasies, ...from whom do you think the very concepts of respecting each other depite our difference in appearance and opinions were championed?
