Oh, no! To the contrary, the stage lights magnify any lack of cuts. If you are ripped and ready and tanned -dark you then look better , but the avg guy would look far worse under the stage lights, trust me.
Granted compared to top amatuers Vince is not too impressive , however, compared to himself, he improved.
In my humble opinion, ragging on a guy who is not all that great and dares to get on stage in the Jr or novice division is a major problem with the bodybuilding crowd.
Imagine how little other sports like tennis , bowling or golf would have grown over the years if anyone that was less than great got ragged for playing???!!!!!
This kind of banter reminds me of a bunch of jr high girls all involved in name calling and gossip.
Now I know, I know, I know Vince does tend to bring some of this negative attention on to himself, but at least the guy competes in ACTUAL shows.
I bet that a lot of guys that rag him would look worse on stage
