Would Michael Francois have beaten Cutler?
« on: October 12, 2006, 10:54:47 AM »
I liked the hardcore body of Francois and think that he would be tough to beat for Cutler. Compare back and biceps!.
I know that Francois is out of the running, but still a great body (at the Arnold Classic won, by beating Flex Wheeler).

there was a shot of Mike doing leg presses back in 96 or so and I looked at it and looked at my legs and looked at it again and gave up training for about 6 months cause right then I realized I'd never, ever be a pro without doing "certain things" that I was not prepared to do...I was pretty niave at the time.

You still won't be a pro.

He reminds me a bit of chris masters when masters was still huge

I always thought chis cook had the potential to do some damage on the pro scene and to surpass cutler  on that stage one day when he stood next to him.Cook had excellent potential

Mike would have taken Cutler's lunch every single time...I think the dude looks better than Dorian did

I have that Flex Magazine, his legs were insane!!!

But I think that the 95 Arnold could have gone either way. Lee Haney said he thought Flex should have won it, he said "Mike was too blocky"

ND got any pics of the 95 Arnold?

I agree. No matter how "shredded" Jay gets he still looks smooth and soft. Imagine Jay with a nice degree of vascularity and hardness. That would be impressive.

He's guest posing in Chicago in December. I'll get some pics.

Mike would have wipe the floor with the majority todays pros, and if you want to talk about posterchild... The man was everything that the Weiders wanted, an articulate, humble, all-american. Hell, the man left the seminary, just to bodybuild!!

I remember Mike Francois back in 97, awesome guy to talk too. He stayed over in Dallas after a local show. I would say he was about the same height was Cutler, give or take an inch. Dude was massive. Way ahead of his time, one of the great mass monsters. Too bad his career was cut short.

The back, arms, calves :o

Does anyone have any recent pics of him? I know he promotes his show in Columbus, Ohio.

Yeah I noticed that.  Jay gets in great condition but just doesn't have the veins popping out. Ronnie's veins are popping like crazy all through the offseason at 320lbs. Paul Dillet had some sick veins too. Mike Francois on his best day beat Flex so I am sure he would beat Jay.

Michael Francios never got to realize his full potential and had a very short bodybuilding career.  Had he been in perfect health and competed during the same time as Jay he would have owned Jay vigorously.

Hope this helps...  ;D

Mike was awesome at the Arnold...simply awesome.  His long torso was a little bit distracting though.

Awsome back and was one of my faves at that time but what a stupid question  ::) who the fuk knows if he could beat Jay , they are never going to stand on the stage togeather to see.
There are guys with alot more potential and better genetics that wont be Mr O look at wheeler for one did he beat Dorian? NO !!!! Flex proberly had better potential but Dorian has better drive to succeed. It also comes back to how they turn up on the day , contest timing and putting in the hard work when it counts etc.

Dumb ass question this one.
