Grams of meat on the scale , Frozen or Cooked?
« on: October 14, 2006, 02:12:17 PM »
Basically what the Subject says

When weighing say beef mince for example and your wanting say 100 gms for a meal , would you weigh it before thawing and cooking (full of water)

or after cooking up a large amount and taking 100 gms from the cooked amount.

I know with rice you measure it dry (before cooking/water added)

Just so I can make sure my calories are somewhat exact

Standard nutritional profiles are based on uncooked weight.  Fitday will give you options to choose from.
