Lee should think about his financial future before dismissing the deal. Bottom line is, what supplement company will sponsor him if he's competing in an organization that gets no coverage? Supplement companies want their athletes to be seen and heard; that's what promotes the products.........

I agree with you JUMBO but Lee is the most fierce outlaw rebel badboy that ever walked Planet Earth. He cannot be controlled and he will speak his mind. If you push him...he will flip the middle finger at the drop of a hat and when that happens...all fkn hell breaks loose! You don't want that.

Lee knew the consequences but he wants his name in the gossip mill and he is an even BIGGER drama queen than he is "rebel' or "shocking".

Lee also know that any publicity, good or bad is good publicity and knows there will be a company that will want him because either way we dissect this situation...his name is being circulated and being put out there. Notoriety is being tagged to his name and that brings publicity...new more 'out of the box' thinking companies that may not have the $$$ of a Twinlab but enough to pay Lee and take a chance on such an uncivilized relentless ruthless desperado like Lee.

I agree in that Lee will have better opportunities with the IFBB, but why did he go through all this crap in the first place? Besides, I thought was "suspended" not "banned".

And why now does MD have a different agenda after having such a hard on for the PDI? Seems like they just jump on any bandwagon.

Dave, I beg to differ.

With regard to being seen: Rich Gaspari, Lee Labrada, and Dorian Yates all use their own likenesses to promote successful products that bear little correlation to how frequently these former champs appear in the pages of the mags. Furthermore, Vyo-Echh uses Shawn Ray, and his career doesn't merit much coverage these days either. Lee is an icon. Everyone knows what he looks like. A bi-annual 3x3 photo of him in the 'Competition' section of a magazine doesn't do much for a supplement company. Besides, companies like MuscleTech run their own 'Advertorials' that make up for any lack of coverage.

With regard to being heard: After hearing a few of the bodybuilding 'radio' shows, I think we can all agree that the less Pro bodybuilders are heard, the better. I've heard more interesting insight from the ESPN Fishing commentator. Shawn and Chick are the official mouthpieces by default, not by merit. What the bodybuilding world needs is a radio show with humor, insight and personality - a Howard Stern-meets-Bodybuilding type of show.

Personally Dave, I think you would be a great co-host for such a show.

You guys forget the PDI is going forward nwo and the IFBB see it. They are going to do even more than before to try and stop Wayne. I talked to Wayne for along time on Saturday. He told me all about this with Lee. He has some VERY big sponsors coming aboard and promoters. You guys think only U.S. in terms of sponsors. you only think on VYotech, Muscletech, and a couple others. There are manyother companies out there. And there are some sponsors getting involved that aren't supplement companies. You guys need to think outsire the box. Already this year alone Lee is making more than he made in the IFBB shows just about. Next year there are more shows meaning more money. Allot fo IFBB guys are talking. Lee got fucked by the IFBB and now they are trying their best to take back what obviously is someone they are scared of because Lee is propeling the PDI and they hate it. Isn't it weird how the IFBB requires certain guys to compete in the Grand Prix yet don't pay for their hotel or air. Then they go over there and make less than $5,000. Wayne pays for the hotel and air to Europe for the athletes. And the PDI is new yet gives away more money at the European shows than the IFBB which is 40+ years old.

WHY would anyone compete in the IFBB. And they make Ronnie go over knowing he will lose all the shows and he make $4,000. Yea the IFBB is a great organization. If you guys only knew what I know. And I promise you don't and I can't tell as much as I wish I could. You IFBB supporters will just have to find out the hard way. Luckily it is being shown more and more everyday.
