Has anyone seen Mark Dugdale's DVD "Driven"? I heard it was good entertainment as far as bodybuilding DVD's go.

I like his DVD. Good all around content. Not just all training but gets into his life out side of the gym. His girls are dolls!

It's one thing to look up to pros for their physique, but for me to actually say I look up to Mark for his brain puts him in a rare class amongst his peers - at least in my book.  I don't want to just see a blob of muscle when I see a pro, I want to see one who is intelligent, articulate, handsome, generous, as well as having the physique attributes.  And even in terms of physique development, some pros take it too far to the point where I would never aspire to look like that.

This will probably turn into a religious debate like all the Dugdale threads do.

I think Mark gets flak because Christina is/was a bit over-the-top as a mod on mayhem.  But that is what mayhem brings out in everyone.  Even Ron Harris said he believed Gregg Valentino when Gregg told him his biceps were from site injections.  There is a psychological phenomenon that goes on on musclemayhem called "groupthink".  It is quite interesting to observe.  I could probably write a 100 page thesis on the subject in reference to that website alone.  I haven't been there for ages, so things might have changed.  As membership increases it really does become difficult to ban everyone.  Maybe if I pursue a Master's degree I will see if I can do that thesis.  Mark gets more flak than your average pro because people hold him in higher regards because he is a businessman and family man and is also a bit more openly religious than some pros (most pros ARE religious, but you don't hear Dexter or Melvin getting flak for it).

The video is great and offers a lot more than your average pro DVD does.  Mark also handles 405 on the incline with ease.

you have a psych degree, right? the dichotomy between mark's apparent good guy, stand up christian lifestyle and his being part of the "muscle hunks" group. discuss.

Christina is just sooooo Christian...  she's the ultimate role model of the "perfect" wife & mother.  If you don't believe it, just ask her...  she'll tell you, ad naseum!

I think Mark just has a lot on his plate.  Not to say that he isn't handling it well, but sometimes a person can make mistakes if they have a lot of work to take care of at any given time.  I don't think he really knew that the website was predominantly targeted to a gay audience.

And yes, Mark's physique would be perfect if he was around 5'10 or so.  My understanding is that he is around 5'6.

  c'mon, bro'. one look at the website tells you the orientation. i'm not downing the website's "bent," by any means. but if you've got this job of running a multi million vegetable operation, well, why?

Mrak is a very nice guy, very friendly, and the DVD is entertaining.

His christian beliefs are shown there, but he doesn't give you the impression that you have to be christian to be worth to watch it.

That's what works in his defense.  There is no way Mark needed the money for this "gig".  He probably literally didn't even bother checking into anything at all then learned after the fact that maybe he should have, lol.

Mark is one of the nicest guys around and has a physique to match. Don't knock someone because of his beliefs. The DVD is excellent too, i definately recommend it.

Here we go..... Mark does not get knocked for his beliefs. He gets "knocked" for his  wife shoving her beliefs down peoples throats, thinking people who are not Christian are lost and also making dumb assed statements like " Impotence/not being able to have kids in BB's is not from steroids/bb drugs. It is from watching to much pornography" She posted that in one of my threads last year. People tend to get annoyed with his wife spouting on and on with the Christian stuff/ While Mark is pounding illegal drugs to compete. Script or not he don't need steroids for shit. Hard for people to listen to a person criticizing their life due to sin, while the accuser is sinning themselves. I am sure the Christains will find some technical loophole to justify shit. Doesent surprise me. This whole country is filled with "selective" Christians. I knew a ton of girls like that in college! Sex with me/random college dudes out of wedlock was fine!!! As long as they went to Church once every few months they get to go to heaven!!!

I feel bad typing that. Mark is also a very nice guy who posts on here time to time. But I think he gets flak due to what his wife says. Also her blatant abuse of mod powers in the past pissed some people off.


People do not like people who are overly nice. Is that a word? Just human nature.
