    I agree totally but what you seem to miss here is that the muscle that he had packed on was very young and not mature, thick  or grainy muscle.

He came into the sport not long ago  only weighing 180 lbs soaking wet and with 2 years exploded so you know his physique wasn't built with a strong foundation and years of dedicated iron discipline.

He has yet to find himself as a bodybuilder it takes years to know exactly how your body works and to dial  it in just perfectly.

Thats why he never came in awesome condition , he is young and has a lot to learn.

Chris' problem was the ability to really get a program that allowed him to dry out and retain the size neccessary to place higher at the pro level...water retention is a huge problem amongst Bbers, and Chris always had a problem fighting water.

This was no reflection of his work ethic (which was second to none) or his ability to diet strictly..anyone who was close to Chris knew his discipline was 100%..he had no problem sticking to a diet and to sugggest he did is absurd.
