As a moslem, why does Nasser own dogs if they are not for hunting?
Remember that muahammad ordered the killing of the dogs in Medina and that the Angel Gabriel refused to enter muhammads house because of the presence of a dog.
Looks like Nasser is one big fat oil filled sinner to me, drug abuse, dogs, eating pork...
Dumb question. Keeping a dog in itself is not a sin in Islam, just makes one need to be careful to pray in a room separate from where the dog enters. Regardless, Nasser is not an extremely religious man, and only God judges. Besides, I don't see you questioning why certain "Christian" bodybuilders do things against their religion?
You "conveniently" missed citing the context in which certain dogs were killed during Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)'s time. The order was only towards dogs who were complained against for causing harm by biting and spreading diseases such as rabies that were hazardous to people or caused death.
Also, there are lots of examples of how Islam promotes kindness to animals - it teaches that people will be rewareded for planting plants if they are eaten by animals, there's a narration about a man who had his sins forgiven for feeding a dog water while he was thirsty himself, etc.
And no, Nasser does not eat pork. We were in a restaurant in November and he returned a dish once it arrived since he did not realize when he ordered it that it would contain pork.
