You guys need to check your history the BLACK tribe leaders were the ones who SOLD and TRADED their tribesmen as SLAVES to the white conqueror's. It's notl ike that whites just came and rounded up some blacks with chains, they were bought and traded from the leaders of the tribes.
If you want to get technical, it was the SPANIARDS who paid other tribesmen to round up the slaves from neighboring tribes which they traded guns and other items for. The Spaniards created Puerto Rico (roughly translated as "rich port") as a weigh station for their slave ships to unload the merchandise. Then they were shipped to the US and sold at auctions there by the spanish as slaves.
Some other interesting points about slavery. There were legal codes of conduct for slave owners. The bad slaves were punished much like you would smack a dog for shitting on the floor. Either way you look at it, many of the former slaves families are here prospering in the united states.
Also think about this...without slavery, ALL of these african americans with roots in slavery that they complain about so much would still be in Africa. A continent of countries plagued with AIDS, poverty, starvation, disease, illiteracy, one hot ass desert, poisonous snakes, and giant fuckin lions that can eat you.
I dunno, i just think it's funny that the puerto ricans and the blacks all sit together at lunch when the spaniards were the ones selling the black man into slavery....and the white man takes all the blame.
