I find it amusing that some dude who's Microsoft Certified, which means basically, he can set up my E-mail, makes such outlandish claims (income, knowledge, connections, et cetera).
Actually, technically, with an MCP he can't even do outlook/exchange server yet, so he prob cannot set up your email.
He can tell you the 7 layers of the OSI model, he can pick out ethernet types from 4 choices. He can tell you the 4 steps to remote access and VT, and he can do some minor troubleshooting when your computer cannot see other computers on a network. Simple TCP stuff. Kids take this in 11th grade now.
With no experience and an MCP he will be VERY lucky to earn $15 an hour in NY.
He would have to make $50 an hour to make $100k a year.
Plus he would have so much honor and responsibility at work that he wouldn't hassle the IT guys to trace IPs for people who sent him mean emails. He'd be among the top earners in his firm and would act accordingly.
