Fedor vs Coleman
« on: October 31, 2006, 06:45:48 AM »
Fedor is extremely strong! No way any other athlete can beat him now! He is the top of sport. Strength, speed, stamina, "balls". He is very fast for a guy that weights more than 105 kg!

You gotta love that "ice cold" "half dead" demeanor that turns into an inferno when that bell rings. He goes balls to the walls fight after fight after fight no matter what or who is in front of him. He brings it, no doubt!

Great fighter! He's just freaking brutal man. Relentless.  ;) Gotta love his work, and right now he is on top of his game big tyme.

So True! Very "cold" killer. Like an assassin, he just does his work and leaves. No emotion at all. Like the "original" terminator.

I think I understand what you are trying to say.

Are you saying that Americans like to have hollywood nicknames like "terminator" "Killer" or something like that and Russians don't have that dialect in the language so that is the reason they don't have an alias or nickname?

or the media begs Americans to carry nicknames?

Probably both. I should think of an MMA nickname for myself for when I hit the big time. None of this letting the media give you something retarded crap.

Yeah don't let them do it. They will most definitly come up with something gay Like "Roadhouse" or "The liquid Snake" or some sh*t like that.

hahahahahahahahha exactly. The only thing I can think of regarding the nickname is that he's supposedly incredibly light on his feet but I'd probably stand flat footed for a couple of fights to lose it.

Great footwork, good head movement, heavy hands, straight punches plus good angles on hooks and uppercuts.  FANTASTIC balance, strong, tough chin, decent subs, and moves well off his back.  All this adds up to heavyweight champ, and best fighter on the planet.

i liked his technique and the way he put his punches together there but, shit, coleman is just a punching bag standing up. he has no movement whatsoever and is slow as fuck. when he gets caught he always seems to just drop his hands and quit. >:(

He was committed to the shot, and wouldn't finish the single.  He wanted the double, had he taken the single and gotten Fedor to the ground, he could have at least been submitted earlier, and saved his face all that damage.

I've always felt that had Coleman studied guardpassing with a top bjj player, he would've been a much greater force in mma.

He won the first PRIDE GP, the guy is legend. It probably would've helped in his later career, though.

This is the sad thing about ALL of the Hammer House fighters.  Both Coleman and Randleman have the tools.  Both of them haven't added anything to their arsenal.  Tito Ortiz could pass the guard, he doesn't because he is a big LHW, and is able to make space to drop elbows.  Particularly with an opponents head against the cage.  Coleman/Randleman if they could get to half guard would be devastating with their GNP.  If they got to side control, knees to the head.  Coleman and Randleman's striking is still subpar, and their sub defense is pathetic.  (Even my 3 year old knows to turn into a leg lock, not away.)  Too bad, because both guys are absolute studs.  Coleman could have stayed at the top of the heap if he would have gotten better.

Fedor should have broken his neck on the Randleman throw.  Too bad for Kev,  he is a cyborg.

Fedor said he's been thrown worse in Sambo practice.
