CLEAN UP TIME at GNC..AGAIN!!!
« on: November 02, 2006, 06:51:37 PM »
This may be one of my better hauls:

4-pack of NITRO-TECH RTDs: $3.75 ($3 even with Gold Card); got 4 of them for $12, totaling 16 RTDs

2-lb jug of GNC Mega Whey: $2.70 ($2.16 with Gold Card)

2.2-lb GNC Soy & Whey Protein: $3.20 ($2.56 with Gold Card)

6.7-lb jug CELL-TECH $40 ($32 with Gold Card)

And a product I've never tried, though I've used its predecessor:

4-lb EAS Phosphagen Elite: $4.50 ($3.60 with Gold Card); I'll see what it can do, once I run out of CELL-TECH.

Overall, a great haul. And this allows me to get some more LEUKIC, which at the moment is cheaper at Vitamin Shoppe.

Simple. GNC marks down their products, as they approach their "Best if sold by" date. Those marked-down products have orange pricetags on them.

During the first week of each month, you get 20% off all GNC products, if you have a Gold Card (which I do). That means I also get 20% off the marked down price.

For instance, CELL-TECH normally retails for $80; I saw a 7-lb jug (grape flavored) marked down to $40. With the Gold Card Discount, I bought it for $32. Even that, however, isn't the best deal I've had for CELL-TECH. GNC marked down the 7-lb jugs of the old CELL-TECH formula (the one in the white jugs, that had 10 g of creatine monohydrate) to as little as $20.

Same goes for the NITRO-TECH RTDs and the GNC protein powders, not to mention Phosphagen Elite.

Now that CELL-TECH Hardcore is out, the previous formula in the grey jug (with Crea-Edge, but without Creakic) will drop in price.

All you have to do is be patient and the prices for products at GNC will drop.

where is this magical GNC? why are they selling 2lbs of protein for less than $3.00?

the GNC here did the same thing, but the discounts weren't nearly the same. we get 20% all the time with a card, so i go back there looking once a week, but they have not had anything on the clearance rack in a quite a while.

The GNCs where I shop are in the Sunshine State, Florida.

I don't think so IMO, i've had a few bad times with them. I got a few girt certificate cards from them for christmas once and their computer system read that there was only 0$ on the card, and this happened to all of them!! that was $400 worth of gift certificates. also i was at school at the time and needed my supplements as i was very short on cash. i had to wait almost 4 weeks. I was pissed! anyways....I hate GNC.

GNC does suck pretty bad for the most part. most of their prices are at least 20% high so even with the discount you're still not getting a very good deal. the only time to really shop their is when stuff is marked way down.

but the service from the dork behind the counter is always great  ::)

I would still rather mix my own creatine dextrose supps, instead of supporting Muscle Tech, even if the prices are good.

if there is a vitamin world near anyone you can usually score some deals like this from time to time.  their parent company is nbty.  i was able to get some nos for $7 per 120 tab bottle under the natures bounty name.

on a side note i have worked for both gnc and vitamin world in the past.  many of the vitamins you see on the shelf at gnc are made in the same plant that the vitamin world line yet gnc is far over priced and the gold card is not very customer friendly.

GNC can kiss my ass.  I went into the local GNC looking for a specific vitamin.  I picked up a couple similar items but didn't find exactly what I was looking for so I set it back down on the shelf.  Well apparently I didn't put it in the original spot so upon exiting this 60 year old man comes chasing after me yelling where did I put the vitamins?  I had to go back in there and show him exactly where I put them before he accused me any more of shoplifting.  I wanted to kill the old fuck.

Funny thing was I have been accused twice in my life for shoplifting.  Once at the GNC and the second time at the dollar store in the same strip mall.  The fuck nut middle eastern guy saw me looking at some DVDs, but I didn't buy any, so he asked me what I did with them in front of my two daughters and about 12 customers.  I was wearing shorts and a tshirt.  I couldn't have hid them on myself.  So I started yelling and cursing at the guy in front of all his customers.  I wanted to kill him too.

If you're old or middle eastern, you shouldn't work in retail.

actually, not really, but you'd be suprised at how angry you would be if some loser accused you of shoplifting in front of your children.
