Why is H pronounced so different at times?

Example: Huge (Juge)

I think there should be a decision on this, and that once and for all, "H" would be pronounced  as in Heaven, since we already have a "J".

Words like huge should be spelled with J instead.

The first part of "Huge" is not pronounced the same way as "Hugging".

Or "Hole".

"Huge" is more pronounced like "Juge".

Come think of it, I think "G" should be exchanged for J as well.

You know, G is pronounced differently in "Great" and in "Huge".

So it would be "Juje", or rather, "Judj".
