I always sleep with the TV on when I travel (it drowns out any peripheral noise).  I fall asleep to it at home with the sleep timer set.

I sleep with it on when Bob goes out of town...I'm afraid of the dark, and hate to hear the creeks and sounds of the house when I'm alone.

Well you know what the best thing is to keep you from hearing all the noises.. rent texas chain saw massacre and make your own noises.

i was dragged to that movie kicking and screaming!  the chicks were hot...but the whole eyeball hangin out and burned up skin..and getting smacked by the train made my stomach turn.

I've worked in the ER...I've seen all that stuff up close, the movies make it even more gross!!

What's even more disturbing is that shit is real. My hometown is Odesa, one of the most dangerous places especially for girls with the sex trades and all that stuff. They wouldn't make movies if it didn't really happen. There is a little truth in every movie.

Its discusting!  I've seen independent documentaries on the same sex trade and child porn rings from third world countries.  I've had to stop watching because it was affecting me mentally!  We live in such a sick and twisted world.

Do you ever wonder what you would learn if you could take your neighbors computer and see what they were looking at.

I can't even sleep with the TV on. Any noise bothers the hell out of me.

It's very relaxing.   :)

I do sometimes. It's not really a good idea because your brain doesn't really turn off, and the messages coming through the set have a more profound impact on you while you're in a subconscious state. Not a good idea especially depending on what's on late at night.  :-\

I will on occassion turn the set a foreign language program and go to sleep with that on. What's really cool though is when you're in the twilight zone half awake and half asleep, you're aware of your state, ...and can also understand every single word being spoken on the TV... even though it is in Polish  :D I've done that before! Waaay cool. Unfortunately, as the balance shifts, and more of my conscious mind imposes itself on my subconscious mind, I understand less and less. Then when I'm completely awake, ...I don't understand a word of Polish  :-\

A few weeks ago, I fell asleep with the set on, and a movie started playing about the USA launching a global thermo nuclear war against Iraq, that spread worldwide. While this stuff was happening on TV, I was experiencing it in my mind... the whole nine yards. When I woke up, ...and realized it was just a movie, ...I was very, very, happy.  ;D

I made sure to turn off the set after that. I like having it on, because I've removed all clocks from my bedroom, so it's the only way I know what time it is when I wake up. I don't like having to get out of a nice warm bed to go into the bathroom to discover the time.

I leave the TV on when im on the road for work. For some unknown reason I always get the room next to the couple that act like they are filming a porno and stay up until at least 3 AM to get it out of their system.  >:(

So do I... travel for work and can't stand to be in a hotel room without the TV on. Except I always get stuck next to the business guy who decided to "order in."  :-X
