how often do people get popped at the border

It all depends on how much your trying to being back-and where you go to buy it. be catious of the pharmacys right across the border they are known to narc people off.

 A lot depends on what you look like, how big you are, and such.... the last 4 times that I went to a Mexican border town, on the way back through US customs, I was asked to show ID, and I was searched. I am 5'8" 200lbs.

I haven't been down in a long time, and with the new border enforcement crackdown I'm not sure how strict it is.

If you are a weightlifter of any kind you will probably be searched walking across.

You have to realize that from their perspective, if you look like a bodybuilder there is a high probability that you are smuggling AAS across.

That is the #1 factor I'd say......

You can't be searched without probable cause. Just cause you look a certain way does mean your doing something legal. You can't be searched just by the way you look.

I live near Canada and they have ripped my car apart looking for whatever and I hardly look like a smuggler. I think at the borders they can do whatever the fuck they want.

I don't know about Mexican customs but I'm sure they can do whatever they want. However, where I go in Mexico, Mexican customs just asks for like 35 cents to cross back to the states when I walk across as I usually do. As for U.S. Customs, they can't search your body without probable cause, but they can search your vehicle as they do in random inspections.

    Probable cause can consist of many things...., like being in Nogales, Sonora for 3 hours, just "sightseeing", and the coming back across the border to the US, with no souvenirs, no goods, no pottery, no blankets, etc., this arouses the suspicions of the US Customs agents, and according to them, this is cause enough to warrant a search, and if you have that "bodybuilder look" about you, it is a forgone conclusion that you will be searched under these circumstances. Trust me, I know this for a fact. I was crossing that border before you were tying your own shoes.......

I'd like to sample a few Organon redijects but I'm not going to pay $10 per.

We go to a pharmacy, and then he "negotiates" with the guy behind the counter. Being that it is so diffficult to get it back across, I usually go down there with somebody that is a little more conventional looking than I am, and then that individual "mules" it back across. The prices are not fixed, but it is a little harder to talk them down concerning AAS then it is, let's say a belt, or knock-off sunglasses.....
