I've been umping a little league game and just got back, I've missed seeing the news for a few hours..

No, the appeal process will take up to 30 days, but that process is unfortunately very short in Iraq.

Says pretty much all about the legal system in that country.

Sadaam was sentenced to death in 2002 when he announced he would be trading his oil in Euros, and not the US Dollar, starting in 2003.

The Taliban was sentenced to death the moment they signed a contract with an oil company from Argentina to create an oil pipeline in Afghanistan, summer 2001.

They were viable trading partners until then.  But, they pissed us off by declining our offer.  So, we told the UK and Undia we'd be attacking them in mid-October.  Then, 9/11 conveniently happened.  Then we attacked them.
