okay, so maybe this should go on the venice/la sucks posting, but here it goes.so what is the best place to live in southern cal or the southwest. in the l.a. area venice is scary at night, marina del rey, playa delrey and santa monica are safe and nice for the most part if you want and have to live near "the mecca" but majorly expensive to live.
orange county: aliso viejo, mission viejo, redondo beach, very safe and very nice and very expensive too!
northern san diego county: oceanside, escondido, san marcos? beautiful, a bit cheaper, but what about the bb/fitness scene not to mentioned employment?
arizona: phoenix, growing bb/fitness scene, way cheaper than california, close enough to california for a weekend drive or 30 minute flight. unfortunately, it's hotter than hell!!! and like las vegas is getting crowded.
tucson, arizona: not too big, not too small, cheapest to live in compared to phoenix and all of southern cal, but what about the bb/fitness scene. non-existent it looks like.
las vegas: growing bb/fitness pop, home of mr.o, but living cost are skyrocketing and it's getting way too crowded, also like phoenix hotter than hell in the summer, not to mentioned near the strip is "crazy" but then again if you like crazyness?!
hell, maybe southwest florida: ft.myers is the answer, peaceful, beautiful weather, beaches, (okay forget about the occassional hurricane) cost of living is not too bad not crazy and crowded and expensive like the east coast ( miami, etc) and not as superficial either. not overcrowded bb/fitness scene meaning no attitudes and not as much competition for employment in personal training, etc.
