According to his piece in MM, he won the NABBA Australia, not the IFBB version.  Yet, he ridicules Rhino for winning the NABBA North America.

Fact is winning even your class at the IFBB Mr Australia is way harder than winning the overall at the australasia or the nabba nationals... grundy never even entered the ifbb mr australia to my knowledge...

i dont think it has been doubted anywhere that chick is a better bodybuilder than the other 2 - the point is 40 odd year old blokes argueing on the internet like schoolgirls. Imagine chicke new kid when he/she goes to school - "what does your daddy do for a living" - "oh well he lifts weights for a couple hours a day then spends the rest of the day argueing with people he doesnt even know on the internet - erm, he's 50"

I'm from the old school where only the guys who won the "australia" ie. the npc/ifbb australian titles had the balls to call themselves Mr Australia the way Guy does every day... legends like mick scionti, pete wall, tony rossi, adrian batho can call themselves mr A not guy i'm afraid.

Mate! Honestly Chick nad nothing to do with it. I like Chick and he doesn't need me to help fight his battles. I have not seen him loose any as yet. I trully feel and felt that Jack London looked undeserving to be on a Pro stage. He placed 8th in a master show recently. How can he call him self a Pro. It is demnaing to the feforts of people like Chris Cook etc that worked for many years towards that goal. He makes the sport look bad calling him self a Pro. People look at him and you want them thinking this is what a professional bodybuilder looks like. He is an older man with some muscle. That is pretty much what it is. He brought it on stage and I said my thoughts. As Jack has mentioned countless times he is a Banker and does the sport for enjoyment not his living. He should continue Bodybuilding where he belongs and that is in the masters NPC. Take care

Rhino, I've read all of the posts on this thread and am basically familiar with your past beefs with Chick and Galanti.  I think you should take the high road and stop this nonsense.  You are a highly educated (Wharton MBA, I understand) and successful, well-paid business executive at Citigroup.  In the real world, you are a HUGE success.  In the bodybuilding world, you're not exactly the best, but so what?  Its a hobby for you, that's all.  You're good at your hobby, but not a world beater. 

Look at who you are dealing with:

Guy Grundy -- an uneducated, high school dropout.  He likes to fancy himself a "writer" or "journalist" but his column is nothing more than a glorified National Enquirer piece.  Look at the way he writes, for God's sake.  His lack of education is apparent in practically every sentence he writes here on getbig.  He has difficulty putting two sentences together.  Can you imagine what a bully he would be if actually had your level of education?  You know he would be calling everyone stupid and saying "look at me, I have a degree from Wharton!"  Jack, this dude is pathetic.  Because he is uneducated, his entire world revolves around bodybuilding.  Its all he has, Jack.  Like you pointed out, if he didn't have bodybuilding, he'd probably be sweeping the floors at your Citigroup office, or serve as your errand boy.  And the sad part is, he wasn't much of a bodybuilder either.  A synthol-injecting moron.

Bob Chick -- a community college grad (at best).  He's 3rd tier bodybuilder who had his sponsor conjure up a title for him to hold.  Pathetic.  Likes to insult others for not having a physique worthy of an IFBB pro.  But, of course, this is all he has and this is his world.  See, it makes him insecure and feel like less of a man when he is faced with a Wharton grad who works at Citigroup, and who views bodybuilding as a hobby, call himself a pro.  Because, everything considered, that would mean you have more than he does.  So, he attacks you, says you are not a legit pro.  It makes him feel better that someone like you cannot encroach onto his esteemed "profession".           

So, take the high road, Jack.  If you fight with pigs, you get dirty.
