The sad thing is that most upper class/caste hindus will try to distance themselves from the mokey god puja stuff cuz they're overly ashamed of it, but you'll never get them to admit it.  ;D

of course, true hinduism is more of a way of life and self improvement and not praying to the many gods. But most Hindus place great importance on puja(prayer) when it actually isn't supposed to be that big of a deal.
