I've been fortunate enough to meet celebs and even lesser known ones are cool to meet.  You have to collect yourself a bit.
I'd love to meet arnold, Lee Priest and in hollywood i'd say Nicholas Cage.

Lee, despite what people say on here, is one of the quietest humble people to meet in person.  I would describe him as shy but cool as hell.  He sent me two autographed pics personally signed after I met him.  This was back when he lived in Lancaster though.
yes, I belive it, he seems really cool thats why i hope to meet him.

I have seen Arnold train in golds main st Santa Monica. He would play around a lot he knew how great he was and no vision of anything bad.The only BB with such vision. Two others with that sort of see nothing is Lee and Ronnie.Arnold was a god among men.

GOLD'S Gym was NEVER on main Street in Santa Monica. The original Gold's was on Pacific Ave. in Venice. Then it moved to 2ND Street in Santa Monica, then to it's current location on Hampton Drive in Venice.

Arnold trained at the first location and at WORLD Gym on Main street in Santa Monica.

Know your facts when you try to make up these stories.
and keep moving!

Mike Sapp, former owner of The Gym in Honolulu was one of Arnold's training partners prior to the 1980 Olympia.  I have sat back and listened to many a story from Mike about the Oak, and the Barbarian brothers.

Saw him train at Worlds Venice (Main St & Abbott Kinney) a few times in 92'- 93'... I think. That would have been post Terminator II. All upper body stuff; dumbell presses, seated side laterals, upright rows... some bicep & triceps work. Nothing crazy. He was training with Ralph Muller a bit at the time.

In all the years at Gold's Venice, I only saw him in that gym one time. He wasn't there to train, he was just giving some friends a mini-tour.

I have seen him at Sparky's Yougurt about 50 times though.... does that count?

Yes, in fact it's a big part of the current regimen.

Arnold a true king among kings, I would have loved to see or train with him back in the day. I hope before he dies I get a chance to meet him and pay homage to the greatest of all time, I wouldn't know what to say but I am sure something would come to mind, I could talk for hours with him but for sure I would thank him because if not for him who knows if I would have ever gotten into weightlifting ;D

I'd like to meet more Ironage BBers though.  The comraderie they had would be interesting to hear about.  Plus I like their physiques a bit more than modern GH freaks.
totally agree there.

Having seen it, i can assure you that he will be great to talk to, as long as (1) there are others around to force him to be friendly, and (2) the conversation's assured to be 15 seconds or less, unless you can help him with something.  ;D

Minus those two things you'll be tossed aside like a piece of wet kleenex. ;D

He does nothing just for the hell of it.

I worked as a trainer at a gym in NYC where Arnold would train when he was in town. This was the movie star Arnold. He was about 40 at the time, and weighed a pretty ripped 210.

He trained light and did sets in the 15 rep range. One exercise I remember seeing him do regularly was seated one arm tricep extensions with a 35lb dumbbell. He did a lot of work on machines: preacher curls, rows and seated bench presses.

A great guy and amazingly patient with all the people who approached him with stupid questions, which were really just an excuse to talk to him.

He always liked those 1-arm extensions. Somewhere I saw a list of his movie-set workouts and ya, reps were 15 and he had gone more in the direction of machines & cables.

That gym in NY was probably around Broadway, across from the Lincoln Center; he owned it.

By the time of big movies he knew he had to be publicly friendly. Once in a while though, there were still some episodes, stories that have never been refuted. There was the time he demanded that a Beverly Hills clothier close their store to everyone else, so that he could shop in private, then walked out much later without buying anything.  ;D

It was the Vertical Club, under the 59th St. Bridge. I'm not sure which gym across from Lincoln Center you're talking about. There's the Reabok club, but that wasn't open at the time.

That might've been it; artice in the Times about him training on the upper west side in the gym he bought, sometime in the mid-late 90s.

Came in my gym in 1968 or 1969. said as soon as he walked in no one talk to me at all during my workout.

put 180lbs on the squat bar and did really high reps sets. close to 50 the owner said. then did the same with bench pressing

hehehe This sounds very familar. One of his first workouts in LA he was sent over the Vince's Gym, walked in and announced "I am Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mr. Universe". Vince in classic fashion retorted "You're nothing but a fat fvck".  :o

she could have just mistaken pacific for main

I mean, they are basically the same road. as anybody that knows the area, the two run the same direction and are incredibly close together- pacific is just a tiny bit further west

Dont believe everything you read. There comes a point when it gets very annoying when you cannot take shit without some fan sniffing your asshole after. The guy prob does the best he can. he is a human and owes you nothing.

never said he owes me anything, but he actually does, seeing as how I'm a resident of California  ::)

From what I've read about him, he's an egotistical, anti-semitic, racist jerk

The 15 women he's harassed reasonably hint at the A-hole probability. ;D

Actually anyone who didn't pick that up just from PI's a little slow.
