I saw it last night! Geezus! The Spider-Man movies keep getting better and better! As for no Venom? If you recall the comics, it [the suit] tries to take over Peter Parker before it takes the form of Venom. Also, Dr. Connor [The Lizard] has already been introduced so we just have to be patient. Damn, that trailer gave me chills!!!

No Lizard in this movie, but Dr. Connors does study the symbiote for Peter.

Sandman, Venom and Harry as GG2 are the villains.

Topher Grace (That 70s' Show) is playing Eddie Brock/Venom.

They're either holding back Venom because the CG needs polish or they're simply waiting for the final trailer in March.

I remember when he was first mentioned to play Venom people on here were posting their disbelief and disappointment that he was playing the role. Granted, Eddie Brock is this big, buff guy in the comics but I think it's gonna work out for Topher.

It will be interesting to see if the studio can keep the primary cast members together for any movies after this one. They probably all signed for a three film deal or one film with an option for two more. After three films they usually want too much money or they are just not interested.

They’ve decided to introduce Gwen Stacy in this film. As you fellow comic nerds know, before Mary Jane there was Gwen, Peter Parker’s original girlfriend. She was killed by the Goblin back in 1973.

how can they 'add' gwen stacy when her role has already been merged with the MJ role?
also i doubt venom will really be in this movie at all...how can they introduce the black costume, have a plot with the other 2 villains, and still be able to cover venom?
the way i see it venom will only be revealed at the very end of the film as a teaser for the next one.

oh and topher grace as eddie brock is an incredibly horrific choice.

Shouldn't Eddie Brock be a jock/bodybuilder type? Who should have gotten the role?

yes, his character is a mid-30's, heavy built guy, moody and ill-tempered.
little topher looks 18, weighs 130lbs, and is know for comedy roles. the obvious choice

im not sure exactly off the top of my head but there are probably hundreds of more suitable actors out there.

Kirstin Dunst has pretty much said that this is it for her. Of course if this does what the other two did, they may roll up to her house with a dumptruck full of cash, so...

Very early rumors had her dying in this one, but that is not true. Two characters do die though.

Gwen is playing a girl who is tutored by Peter. They are both in Dr. Connor's class.

The symbiote causes Peter to start behaving differently. He becomes mean, aggressive. He even slaps MJ.

Venom is in the movie. Peter gets the symbiote suit off on top of a church while the bells are ringing. The symbiote falls on Eddie when he comes out of the church. Venom is in the big final battle.

Toby said in an interview back when Spider-Man 1 was out that the main cast did indeed sign a 3-picture deal. Sam Raimi has also said that he didn't want to keep adding sequels after the 3 movies are made...that he's content with keeping it as a trilogy all on its own.

I've also heard that Venom will indeed make an appearance in the movie....

Bad.

It seems Eddie (Topher Grace) is up for a job at the Daily Bugle and he and Peter are competing for it.

He tries to paint Spider-Man in a bad light hoping to make points with Jameson. He gets the first pic of Spidey's new suit and Jonah uses that with the headline: "Spider-Man shows his true colors."

He's actually in the church asking God to kill Peter Parker before he walks out and the symbiote falls on him.

There is no Lizard in this movie. Doctor Connors is in some scenes.

Peter fights Harry very early on. Harry is GG2. They have two fights that I know of.

Peter has three fights with The Sandman.

Armored Car
Subway Station
Big final battle set in a junkyard, I believe. $:-\$

At the end, Spidey fights Sandman and Venom.

If my memory is correct, the symbiote is vulnerable to certain audio freqencies. One such frequency is produced by the ringing church bell, so Peter is able to get the suit off as it tries to escape the “pain” caused by the ringing church bell!

Oblique sounds like he knows what he’s talking about!

This is gonna be the best movie yet!!!

I would rather see a good next movie with Venom and Carnage being the villians and less Dunst. Shoot it much darker give it a R and really show peter going thru shit in life.
