I remember reading where he'd been walking around "big" for quite some time before that, and that once he finally started dieting it drove him made to have to come down that far, and that he had required constant reassurance that he wasn't getting "too small."  Apparently that was his final test before he was able to explode onto the scene.

Back then he looked freakin huge for the time, and a decade later he adapted to the new mass standard and looked huge again amongst his mass-monster peers.

Good thing he retired, he would have rocked up on stage at 320lbs!

I still think Nasser and Fux were the first guys to really figure growth hormones out.  I could be totally wrong but both of them made gigantic weight gains from 1 year to the next.  The first 2 pics are from the 94 NOC, somebody post some pics from the 95 NOC, the change was astounding.  Same with Fux, post some pics of him when he won the worlds and then some from the 96 arnold.

The most complete physique of all time. Mass, small waist, and he even has calves. :) Should have been Mr. o after Dorian

I am not a big Nasser fan at all but during his time he was one of the Best out there and never showed up off, too bad he overstayed his welcome by about 5-6 years. He should have called it quits before turning to synthol and the crap showings he had post 2000.

Nasser had a back, just came in a little soggy like dillets back. Any of the monsters will tell you it was the mastering of the insulin that really made the big change. Nasser 96,97, and 98 was at his prime. Got to see him at a photo shoot at club met/rx years ago; he was the freak bottom line. He looked like he was 2 feet thick from chest to back, nasty calves.

I remember seeing a short video of his posing routine on Youtube a few months back, that concluded with Nasser hitting a most muscular pose.  Had to have been one of THE most insane shots I've ever seen, his body damn near exploded out of his skin when he hit it.  It's too bad that he couldn't match Dorian from the back, because he sure as hell could from the front.

His best was the 98 or 99 Arnold, when he was 282 dry and ripped. Sick sick sick.

Nasser was a perfect cylinder, just as wide as thick, figuratively.  Agree with Natural Al on the transformation, it was crazy.

Anyone remember the old article Flex did with, I think, Shawn Ray, Wheeler and Dorian?  Showed them "today" and then 20% bigger because Flex was tauting the future of bodybuilding and "mass" technology.  Oddly enough, Dorian's infamous black & white underwear photos were just that, a visually looking 20% increase.

Always liked Nasser, but also like Dorian, Coleman, etc... they just get to a point where we're all shocked and then fall off the aesthetically acceptable edge.  Cutler's toes are almost hanging off the edge now, shame.

Good thing he retired, he would have rocked up on stage at 320lbs!

It's too bad for Nasser that he couldn't play either the aesthetics, nor the mass game to perfection....

He was good at both when he adapted, though I think he let the game run him instead of staying true to what worked for his physique.

Instead of keeping a physique that would stand the test of time like a Shawn Ray, he decided to go all or nothing like Dorian....

Unfortunately, he didn't have the total package to beat Dorian at the mass game.

Then after years of AAS/GH/Insulin/IGF-1, his body stopped responding to the drugs and he was left to resort to Synthol which effectively ended his career and what respectability he had left.

I respected Nasser up until he cheated.....

agreed, he looked awesome for those shows, still needed a back though. If his back was just a bit better he would have won alot more titles.
