I started to bring my wife in to train because I had to keep hearing from her and her family why I was spending so much time in the gym. The trick was to not let up on intensity. I had her squatting, chest press, military press. leg press, barbell rows, supersettting, drop sets...the whole deal. None of the hamstring machine and cardio crap. (we have a treadmill in our house)
And it worked... She started to get some some cuts in her back, triceps, quads and biceps! She was looking good. However, she got out of the routine and now doesn't have the drive to get back to where she once was.
too bad....
on the plus side, now I dont get any more crap about going to the gym on a saturday.
and just to be sure, I always ask if she wants to come along...buys me as much time as I need.
