Behold VENOM!
« on: November 14, 2006, 08:27:08 AM »
this just couldn't sit on the general topics board. the latest Spider-Man 3 trailer is without Venom or Gwen Stacy...which blows. but an unfinished trailer was leaked onto the internet with shots of both Gwen Stacy AND Venom. BEHOLD!!

Venom is one of the most badass comic book villians around. I hope the movie portrays him well.

That last shot of Venom is the last shot in the movie. Gotta have you keep holding on for the release of 4 right. 4 will be the emergence of Venom.

So, will there be a Venom movie, will this just launch into a new series. Like Wolverine?

I think it will keep unravelling until something happens, sales, movie rights, ect...

Also keep in mind that Doc Ock is not dead... ;)

What they need to do in the next movie is guest star one or more heroes/characters (if only in the background).  Someone like Daredevil (only show him in costume and recast the role; Affleck was not a good choice), Black Cat, Dr. Strange, etc.  Imagine Spiderman being saved or helped by another hero at the last minute.  They have a few words of introduction and thanks…

If they do it well, they can lay the ground work for future movies/characters to a wider public that does not necessarily follow the comic cannon.

Well said! Yes I think a character that is kept under wraps until the movie is released. but with all the paparazzi so to speak it will probably never happen.

You dare mock me?  Fool!  Soon all will grovel at the feet of Doom!

If they follow my counsel above, they can also guest star Spiderman in whatever spin-offs they create.  Just feature him briefly in full costume.  Obviously, it wouldn’t be (expensive) Toby McGuire because anyone could be in the costume and play the guest staring Spiderman.

Doom approves.

Ummm... ???

Venom fights in the final battle. It it Sandman and Venom vs. Spider-Man.

The church scene is not the final scene of the movie, not even close. ::)

Peter rips the symbiote off when he is on top of the church and the bells start ringing. It falls on Brock as he is exiting the church. This happens about two-thirds into the movie.

In the big final battle in a junkyard, Spidey fights both The Sandman and Venom.

Then Harry shows up in his GG2 garb and...he helps Spider-Man.  8)

That's right. It ends up a two on two fight. Harry dies when he is impaled by Venom.

By the way, Eddie Brock also dies but the symbiote's future is left unresolved.
