ND's screwy logic of using contest results is irrelevent for many reasons.
first of which is that pretty much everyone in the IFBB beat Ronnie in the mid 90's, so according to that logic, they all could beat Ronnie.
secondly, had Ronnie had "contest momentum" going for him in 98, rather than being ignored until the second callout he might have won by a much heftier margin.
thirdly, there was a pretty substantial difference between Ronnie 98 and Ronnie 99.
In 99 he was 10 pounds bigger with improved hardess in all areas.
Flex was not wide enough to defeat a 99 Ronnie, who matched him in terms of detail and muscle shape, but with much more size:
We're not talking about Ronnie mid-90s we're talking about Ronnie at among his best ever which was at the 1998 Mr Olympia , not Ronnie 1994 lets put that myth to bed
And don't speculate on Ronnie being " ignored " if he was ignored he would have never won , Flex & Ronnie went tit-for-tat on wins through the mid to late 90s , Ronnie usually beat Flex when Flex was off
Here are some facts and you can't counter these , Ronnie NEVER faced Flex at his all time best 1993 was as good as it got for Flex he won FOUR Pro contests and had 2nd place finish in his first Olympia after his car accident he was never the same
Flex faced Ronnie at his best the 1998 Mr Olympia and almost beat him , you can speculate , wish and dream all you want but the fact is at the 1998 Mr Olympia Ronnie Coleman beat Flex by just 3 points , three-points !! if I'm not mistaken ( and I'm usually not ) this is one of the closest Mr Olympia's EVER !! and take into consideration that Flex was no where near as perfect as he was in 1993 and if Ronnie 98/99 faced Flex 1993 ASC or Ironamn he would get beat with ease
basically, if you took flex 93 and:
gave him 30 pounds more mass
gave him really wide lats
gave him shitty abs
gave him ripped glutes and hams
and kept everything else pretty much the same, you have Ronnie 99.
they really were similar in many respectsThey are NOT simlar , you keep claiming these but they're not Flex has aesthetic and Ronnie doesn't , Ronie has an ugly phsyique and always has
Flex doesn't need any extra weight to beat Ronnie and never did , he was never heavier than Ronnie
Flex doesn't need a wide back to beat Ronnie and never did , he never had a wider back than Ronnie and beat him pleanty of times
Flexes whole midsection destroys Ronnies Ronnie may have a small waist but his midsection sucks and he has a gut
Flex had ripped hams & glutes in 1993
Flex doesn't have bitch-tits
Flex 1993 is the perfect combo of size & aesthetics he looks spectacular from every angle , Ronnie looks like garbage compared to Flex , Dorian Yates said the only person who could have given him any serious trouble was Flex and Yates understood that despite not being as big Flex was dangerous if he was spot-on , like 1993 ASC Ironamn
Flex already said if he didn't retire a FEW of Ronnie's Sandows would be his !!
