Opinions of greenpeace
« on: November 15, 2006, 05:50:36 AM »
Met a girl the other day who is dating a guy thats in greenpeace, I know this because that was 1st 4th 9th and 15th thing that she said.

Is it a rad pick up line and greenpeace is making a difference, or are they a bunch of uneducated whiny hippies?

I used to love seeing greenpeace on the news, in their little speedboat, speeding towards a massive tanker full of intent. Real David and Goliath stuff.

"Rainbow Warrior" - that was their boat wasn't it?

You don't hear too much about Greenpeace these days.

Bigger Business - I bet it turns out that this guy who "works for Greenpeace" probably just serves tea in the office! Once the girl realises this, she'll be gone!

Greenpeace members suck horse cock during "initiation".

One of the gayest political movements EVER! Second only to jihadism.

Yes. Because essentially, should the oceans die, we're all f**ked.

Yeah!

Check this out.

I saw this one video where they were flying like 4 helicopters and had boats and they boarded this oil rig that Shell was about to sink into the ocean.

If your goal is to pick up 18 year old girls, that base their decisions on intent rather than actions. Say you are  a member of Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, and PETA. You never have to  do anything and it only takes 20 bucks to be a member.
Girls eat that crap up. Much like saying I own my own business, I am a professional photographer, I am a DJ or I am in a band.

Now if you talk to a 30 year lady with these lines. You better be able to back it up.

Young girls are still naive. Older Women will bust your balls.

Think about it.  Two hundred years ago man had no use for gasolene, and twor hundred years from today, man will have no use for gasolene.

But the beauties of nature are forever a gift to the hearts of men, and once lost can never be found again.

If you've ever seen a spotted owl silently winging its way in the forest, you would understand that drilling regulation is a small price to pay to preserve this breath-taking creature.

Also, there is no such creature as a rat-tailed spotted owl.

Hopefully in 200 years we will have some really cool genetically modified animals. Liger anyone.

Plus we should be able to bring back the woolly mammoth.

Quit being so negative. >:(

thank you, Deedee.

Joker, it takes a lot of material containing DNA to bring back an animal. We might be able to do it with animals that currently face extinction, but I'm almost certain it's impossible for creatures long gone.

The work they do is for us all.  Some of the more radical groups do dumb and dangerous things like spiking trees and sabotaging heavy earth moving equipment, but for the most part greenpeace is doing something far greater than most of us to save the oceans.  For that I give them all the credit due.  It sure takes balls to get between a Russian Whaler with those little rafts of theirs.  More power to them.

1. I wasn't here 200 years ago.

2. I won't be around 200 years from now, neither will my kids, my grandkids and their grandkids, so it really doesn't matter!

3. I know there isn't such thing as a "rat-tailed spotted owl" but saving a freaking bird and getting in the way of our countries needs is just rediculous!

I'm here now, and I think people are tired of relying on other countries for oil and GreenPeace is a great part of why we are relying on other countries oil....But, even though they are a totally Liberal organization I do think they do great things, but this isn't one them!

Everyone loves GreenPeace this side of the border, ...especially in this town. Bob Hunter co-founder of GreenPeace was practically reverred as a God in this town. You can't be from Toronto and not know of Bob Hunter. He was also a daily fixture every morning on CITY TV's morning show Breakfast Television. He used to do a segment called "Paper Clips" or "Paper Cuts" from his in home studio where he would peruse through all the major papers every morning doing comparisons on the different stories they ran.

He left a legacy very few can ever hope to match. He will be sadly missed.  :'(
