 I think it's more common to over-estimate what drugs are going to do, without the eating and lifting dialed in the magic is diminished to say the least. You can get away with less than stellar recovery programming with the drugs in  most cases but other than that......still dictated to a large degree by genetics, food, and lifting IMHO.
