What is Ahmad Haidar lacking?

He looked absolutely outstanding at the 1998 Olympia. What was he lacking besides size alone?

Has he ever won a show?

In order for Ahmad to get noticed by the judges, he needs:


1) A huge gut

2) No calves

3) Synthol in various spots

3) Talk shit about other competitors



Otherwise you can't rely on the judges noticing you on your physique alone. Especially if you have no flaws.

his arms are def udersized for his torso... also he kinda has wide hips, which doesnt help his lack of back width... + being known only for your abbs doesnt help

He looked outstanding at the 98 O video I have. A lot more than just abs. He had awesome legs, back, calves, abs. His condition was awesome and he had a very dry quality to his physique.

Definitely a physique I think many people would aspire to look like.

You might be right gordiano...lol...i look @ the guy when he's on and think: hmm...wtf is wrong with the judges?....People tend to forget that 90% of todays phisique have : disproportionately big quads, disproportionately big arms, disproportionately big guts...and not to forget the puffy look (read inflated) so common nowadays.

Otherwise you can't rely on the judges noticing you on your physique alone. Especially if you have no flaws.

He has gotten 2nd or 3rd a number of times but still no win :( I think he is one of the most underated pros out there right now, he is never off and for his weight of about 225 everything fits perfectly. He has stated numerous times that he doesn't wish to get any bigger and I don't think he should need to.

Always thought Haidar and Ronnie Rockel and to a small extent Jaroslav Horvath minus a torn biceps all have the kind of physique with great balance and just enough mass to put bodybuilding into the mainstream.

haha, i know. but that was kind of a different story, because back then the US thought they could use some arabs to kill other arabs (or whoever the enemy was), which, as we know today, didn't work out quite the way they believed.

What leads us back to the fact that certain nationalities (everyone except US that is), cannnot win in IFBB BB-competitions inside the US.

True the Olympia and most other major shows are all held in the U.S. now, where back then things were a little more international hence the name I.F.B.B. ::)

Thats just it...size. He doesn't have the size to go with those amazing cuts to keep up with the mass monsters of the olympia.

He is not Mr. Olympia because his 1.  Arms are too small    2.  His waist is big (even with great abs, when he hits front double bicep, the ratio is off)   3.  Not the worlds greatest back.

IMO  i would love to have a body like his.  Huge calves, great abs, great relaxed shots.

unarguably, Ahmad Haidar has some of the best abs in Pro bodybuilding

if u mean hizbollah,i believe its  resistance in the south to resist israel(a very strong country)from taking lebanon(a very weak country). i admire those guys who fought in south of lebanon....very brave
