Republican infighting - just a distraction?
« on: November 22, 2006, 10:44:53 AM »
All over the news today - Repub Prez. hopeful Mitch Romney bashing McCain for his vague stance on gay marriage.

Um, we have 4 soldiers and 150 Iraqis dying a day, spending billions a month, and we're in iraq for the long term, and they really feel that a piece of paper between two cocklovers is more important of an issue?

I call bullshit on this one, and believe it's nothing more than a quick diversion using divisive domestic issues by Repubs to take the eyes off iraq. Thoughts?

Gay Marriage is the same issue used in '06 by republicans to bring out their vote.
Conservative Christians now have democrats to vote for in these ridings.

The War will continue the main issue with most Americans unless there is some good news coming out of Iraq.

240, replace "republican infighting" with "American political system as a whole" and I would agree ;D
