Mr. Intenseone, Rory looks a lot bigger in the photo of him with the long hair than the early photo. Do you know what he weighed in the two photos. I know the first photo was from around 1982. Do you know when the photo with the long hair dates from? How big were his arms?

I don't think so. Its posted at a lot of bodybuilding forums along with other shots taken at the same time. Like this one.

I have to remember, but I think that first pic was taken before 1982 and for the life of me can't remember what show that was from, the other 2 ARE NOT enhanced and I think those pics he was getting ready for a movie shoot but if I had to guess his weight, I'd say around 250lbs!

Yeah, notice how the picture frame isnt staright, the pic is enhanced, his arms werent that big.

I trained with Rory for awhile in the early 80's and he would get up to 280 lbs bodyweight in the off season and still be in decent shape. As Max_Rep stated his arms were that big..

I saw the black & white pics in MMI in the early 90s when he was supposed to make a comeback. Then he was bit by a cat and had to withdraw. Seriously.

Thats true,a whole series of articles and pics where in the march and april and june 1984 editions of muscle and fitness outlining his triceps,biceps,chest and back routines.

man those old 1980-1985 muscle and fitness mags were great and the articles were actually well written esp the rick wayne olympia features...

his arms were that big, and he was strong as hell too! no joke, 12-16 plates /side on the hack, for reps! rory's strength was freakish! of course, now that his "friend/handler/sponsor" joe valdez has passed away, i doubt if there is any comeback in his future, as "comebacks" cost money, and the bankroll isn't there.
