What would you equate the pain with?

Just make sure to get painkillers for later.  You won't feel any pain until the Novocaine wears off, then the pain comes.  Have some percs at the ready or at least a few vicks.  The first day is the worst.  After that you won't need any more pills, but that first night be on the safe side and get a script.

Hmmm... I had mine done in three separate sessions. It didn't hurt at all. I think maybe it's only really horrible if you get the whole thing over with in one shot?

I had my front tooth knocked out and had to have a root-canal to make way for an titanium implant. Also had a root on my bottom left bicuspid. The front was worse than the bi was but still tolerable.

The pain is not bad as long as you are under and have a good supply of pain meds, I'd rate it a 5 of 10 on the pain scale.

What sucked in a way for me is that with my ADD the pain meds they gave me made me hyper and didn't do much for the pain so I had to get Morphine to do the work of perks & ltabs, which wasn't bad  .

The only pain is when they pull the never out and that lasts about 3 or 4 seconds.  During that time everything went black along with white stars.  Dentist said before 'ok this is gonna hurt a big when i pull the nerve out.'

He should have said, 'this will be the most intense pain ever, giving birth is not even a close second'

i think pulling a tiny little root out of a tooth is noway worse than pushing a new 8 lb human out of your girly parts 

but get the good pain meds anyway.

it's hurts like u have something opened inside of mouth... and DO NOT SMoke!!!

i smoked a cigarrete right out of surgery and didn't take any of the meds they prescribed to me... and OMG.... my jaw was twice big as my face!!!

but it went away within a week... so....  i wouldn't worry 2much~;)
