you know if you came up right. i think a a good person knows thats what they are. or if they are not. 
a good person keeps their commitments, is honest and does not hurt others.  think of the golden rule - do unto others, u know?
marriage vows are powerful. scary really. not a plunge i'd take without thinking it over real long and hard. but thats me.
some have a fear of God to keep them from messin up. i'm not going that far, but i wouldn't risk my soul for a quickie either...

latin culture's philosophy on what defines being "man enough" totally contradicts what you are saying here.
in fact, to take it a step further, many in latin america/brazil, don't consider it gay to hit other guys in the seat, or bang trannys. they just consider that even "more macho."
