When I was stationed in Korea, the army paid for my apartment.  They gave me about 14K cash so that I could pay for the entire year in advance.  The crazy part was I had to go to a downtown bank and convert it to Korean Won (sp).  That came out to like a gazillion won!  I always thought there should be a better way to do business.
