I do agree that Pujols deserved the MVP this year, especially considering that he sat out several weeks because of the groin injury. At the rate he was hitting homers at the start of the season, he was on pace to break Bonds' so-called record of 73. Pujols, I think, is baseball's greatest living hitter. In his first five seasons he already has a lifetime average that puts him among the top ten, maybe five, hitters of all time.
