Totally unimpressed. Boring routine, monster (unsuccessful) attempt at hiding the arm tears, no muscle separation, his trademark "grainyness" seems gone, giant obliques and on top a big gut...
Other than that, Dorian was a great bodybuilder.

Rationalization; arms were always a problem. You can always tell a Yates fan by the reliance on those black & whites because there are no color shots of him that way. Those black & whites helped because they emphasized detail that didn't show up in color that he was missing at that higher bodyweight.

1. Dorian's gut after 1993 was just too darn big. His waist was superb in 92, but as he grew, so did his gut.

2. Dorian's posing is WAY underrated. Here's the thing:

HE ACTUALLY HOLDS THE POSE FOR > 1.5 SECONDS!

So a judge/fan can eval the physique.

Arnold himself mentioned this crucial posing aspect when he was commentating for his show once.

This is a major gut PLUS Yates had (1) a much wider waist from the front which effected taper, and (2) had a lot less size up top to compensate.

You've only looked at part of the equation by focusing on Yates gut front-to-back.
